Sticker Club Making stickers has been a popular past-time right across Asia for the last year or so. All of the shopping Malls in Thailand have many shops where you can go to have your picture taken and then have it made into stickers with colourful cartoon borders. Many of our students collect these stickers and often have some made at the weekend despite the high cost. We decided we would help the students by opening a Sticker Club at school. The purpose of the club is two-fold. Firstly, to give the students a chance to use the computer equipment to take and scan pictures and to use the sticker programs. Also, we decided we would do this for less than half the normal shop price.
The Sticker Club is open in the Multimedia Room every lunch break. At present we are using 20 PC computers for this project due to the very high demand. The senior students run the whole club running the sticker programs themselves.
Everything is run on the network. The students either bring in pictures from home and have them scanned on one of the two scanners that we have or they have their picture taken with the digital camera every Monday. These pictures are then sent across the network to one of the 20 computers that are being used.
