Making a Krathong- ทำกระทง

The Loy Krathong Festival takes place on Sunday 21st November. All this week the students have been making a "krathong" for this festival. Traditionally, a "krathong" is a kind of bowl made from banana leaves and floated on the water. The word "loy" means "to float". The students pictured here in Mattayom 3 (Junior High 3) are making their "krathongs" from natural material.
