LOCAL FACES
We have put together a selection of photographs showing some of the local people. These pictures were taken for us by Mandy Barrow, a teacher from England who stayed at our school for a while.

Behind our school there is a shanty town area with houses made from wood and roofed with corrugated iron. The little boy in the third picture is standing alongside a klong jar; these are used to collect and store drinking water during the monsoon season.

These last few pictures show some of the local men relaxing, drinking beer and playing draughts. The last picture shows the smiling face of one of the samlor drivers (three-wheeled bicycle taxi) that seems to spend a lot of time outside our school.
