| These first pictures taken by our students show the quiet road which our school is on. The buildings in the first picture is our school. This road is Tetsaban 4 Road. The second picture is looking towards Naraiphrasut Road. There are not many shops on our road, though there is a Clinic and Convenience Store opposite. The third picture is looking west down Naraiphrasut Road towards the river. It will take you about 10 minutes to walk down to the river where you can catch a ferry boat to the other side. | ||

| These street pictures show you some of the local transport. The first one shows a tuk-tuk, a motorized three wheeled taxi. This is a noisy, though quick way of getting around town. It will take two or three adults in the back or six people if you want to save money. If you want a quieter and slower means of transport, then the samlor in the second picture is a better option. It is cheaper though there is not so much space. This is better if you don't want to go so far. If you want to ride one, just flag them down as they pass or go to popular spots such as the 7-Eleven in the third picture. | ||

| One good thing about Thailand is that there is food everywhere. You can buy food to take home or sit at one of the tables alongside the road. If you don't fancy a full meal, there are always plenty of roadside stalls selling snacks or fruit. The woman in the second picture is selling pork sausages. Not all food stalls are on the street. We also have convenience stalls such as 7-Eleven where you can buy things. | ||

We have many different kinds of shops, many the same as in your country, such as newsagents, chemist, photographic shop, stationary shop etc. But we probably also have some shops you don't. The first picture is a Buddhist shop. This is selling things you need when you visit a temple. The other two pictures show people working on the side of the road. The first one is repairing clothes and the second one is repairing shoes. Return to homepage For more information about our local area, please visit our www.Paknam.com web site. |
