Samut Prakan is a small but densely populated province just south of Bangkok. The old part of our city is called Paknam which translates into Thai as "river mouth". The mighty Chao Phraya River which runs through Bangkok empties out into the Gulf of Thailand just a few kilometres from our school. From some of the classrooms, we can just see some of the big container ships heading upriver to the port. Samut Prakan is an industrial city so there are many factories in our area. We also have many colourful temples. Our two main tourist attractions are the Ancient City and the Crocodile Farm. Thousands of tourists go there every day on organised tours from Bangkok. However, only a handful come by themselves and see the real city and some of the other attractions we have. If you don't get a chance to visit our province, then sit back and relax as you view some of the hundreds of pictures taken by our students of our local area.

Web Sites: Students have made web sites about 7 of our local tourist attractions. Art Gallery: Some of our best artists have drawn pictures of our local area.

TOUR ONE: Explore the streets around the school. TOUR TWO: Go with one of our students to visit a local temple.

TOUR THREE: The annual Temple Fair attracts thousands of people. TOUR FOUR: Visit our local market to see what fruit, vegetables and meat we buy.

TOUR FIVE: Our community has many people of Chinese descent. Visit their local shrine. TOUR SIX: Pictures of some of the local faces near our school.
