Students in Primary 5/2 have been learning how to peel Thai fruits and also on how to carve them so that they look beautiful on the serving plate. After the demonstration from their teacher, the students then had a hands-on opportunity to try for themselves

Parents of students from every grade have been coming to the school this week for special "open day" meetings so that they can visit the classrooms and computer center.
โรงเรียนได้จัดโครงการประชุมผู้ปกครองนักเรียนทุกระดับชั้นประจำปีการศึกษา 2553 โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ให้ผู้ปกครองได้รับทราบนโยบาย กฎ ระเบียบ ข้อบังคับของโรงเรียน และได้พบกับครูประจำชั้นเพื่อรับทราบพัฒนาการการเรียนรู้ และพฤติกรรมของนักเรียนขณะที่อยู่โรงเรียน ในรูปภาพผู้ปกครองชั้นเตรียมอนุบาล และอนุบาลปีที่ 1 ได้มีโอกาสชมการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษกับครู Kelly, Briton และ Steve และได้ชมการเรียนการสอนที่ห้องคอมพิวเตอร์ด้วย

Every year a Wai Kru ceremony is held where the students pay respect to their teachers. They are doing this partly to thank their teachers for teaching them well in the past, but also in order to gain merit and good fortune for the future. Every student came to school with a bunch of flowers for their teachers. The flowers used in the arrangement are symbolic. Dok Ma Khue (eggplant flower) stands for respect because when the tree is blooming its branches bend down in the same way a student pays respect to their teacher. Ya Praek (Bermuda grass) stands for patience or perseverance because although the grass looks wilted it is still very much alive. Khao Tok (popped rice) stands for discipline because the rice is placed in a pan together and heated up to become popped rice. The Dok Kem has the same name as the Thai word for needle. So it means the student will be sharp-witted and brainy.
วันนี้ โรงเรียนได้ทำพิธีไหว้ครู โดยนักเรียนได้นำดอกไม้ที่เป็นสัญลักษณ์ ของการไหว้ครูคือ ดอกมะเขือ เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของความเคารพ ความอ่อนน้อมถ่อมตน โดยธรรมชาติของต้นมะเขือ เมื่อมีดอกและจะออกผลจะโค้งลงเหมือนผู้อยู่ในอาการแสดงความเครพหรือ คารวะ หญ้าแพรก เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของความอดทนจะไม่ตายง่าย เจริญงอกงามได้รวดเร็วในทุกที่ หากนักเรียนมีความอดทนที่จะเรียนรู้วิชาการต่างๆ ก็จะเก่งยิ่งขึ้น สติปัญญาก็จะแตกฉาน ข้าวตอก เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของความมีระเบียบวินัย หากใครสามารถทำตามกฎระเบียบ เอาชนะความซุกซนและความเกียจคร้านของตัวเองได้ ก็จะเหมือนข้าวตอกสีขาวที่ถูกคั่วออกจากข้าวเปลือก และ ดอกเข็ม หมายถึงความฉลาดหลักแหลม อันเปรียบเสมือนเข็มที่มีความแหลมคม
The ceremony at Sriwittayapaknam School started with the Principal, Mrs. Seesagoon Krishanachinda, lighting candles and incense sticks and paying homage to the Buddha image. The students then came forward in rows to present their flowers to the teachers.
พิธีไหว้ครู เริ่มต้นด้วยผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนจุดธูปเทียนบูชาพระรัตนตรัย หลังจากนั้น ประธานนักเรียนนำสวดมนต์และกล่าวคำไหว้ครู ตัวแทนนักเรียนของแต่ละระดับชั้นนำพานธูปเทียนไหว้คุณครูประจำชั้นและคุณครู พิเศษ หลังจากนั้น ผู้อำนวยการเจิมหนังสือเรียนและให้โอวาท
ท่านเจ้าคุณพระพิพัฒน์ปริยัติวิมล เจ้าอาวาสวัดบางนาใน มอบทุนการศึกษาจำนวน 7 ทุน ให้นักเรียน และแสดงพระธรรมเทศนาเพื่อให้นักเรียนระลึกถึงพระคุณของคุณครู

Starting this week, Kindergarten students are having a health check-up by doctors and nurses from a local hospital. The students in these pictures are from Kindergarten 3/4.
เริ่มตั้งแต่สัปดาห์นี้ นักเรียนทุกคนจะได้รับการตรวจสุขภาพจากคณะแพทย์จากโรงพยาบาลเปาโล โดยวันนี้เริ่มต้นจากนักเรียนระดับชั้นอนุบาล 1-3 ในรูปภาพ นักเรียนชั้นอนุบาลปีที่ 3/4 กำลังได้รับการตรวจสุขภาพ
