Two examples of using recycled plastic to make flowers. On the left, different coloured straws were used and on the right small plastic containers for jelly sweets the kids enjoy eating. These were then spray painted.
(LEFT): The above Primary 4 students are modelling hats they made themselves using recycled drink cartons. The cartons were cut out using templates then holes punched in them along the sides. This then made it easier for the students to sew the pieces together using coloured wool. (RIGHT): The above mobiles were made by Primary 5 and 6 students by using empty plastic water bottles. Ballons were placed inside some of the bottles and then inflated to create a lantern. The other bottles are cut to look like fish and then spray painted.
